Josh Delong 

Josh Delong

Chillicothe resident Josh Delong plans to start his college career at OHIO Chillicothe this fall as a business management technology major.

Why did you choose OHIO Chillicothe?  

It’s close to home, and I can get a quality education affordably.

What accomplishments are you most proud of from the past year? 

Graduating high school and growing in my Christian faith. 

How are you spending your summer? 

Traveling and working.

What are you most looking forward to this fall?  

Meeting new people and forming connections.

What's your dream job?

Kyla Eplin 

Kyla Eplin

Kyla Eplin, from Commercial Point, Ohio, plans to start her college career at OHIO Chillicothe this fall as a Pre-Early Childhood and Elementary Education major.

Why did you choose OHIO Chillicothe?  

It's close to home and I can immediately get into my major.

What accomplishments are you most proud of from the past year? 

Being selected for Mid-State League All-Academic All-State for soccer. I also was on the honor roll for all four years of high school while taking college classes.

How are you spending your summer? 

Hanging out with friends and playing travel softball.

What are you most looking forward to this fall?  

I am most looking forward to meeting new people and making new friends.

What's your dream job?

My dream job is to be a second-grade teacher.

Maeryn Hill 

Maeryn Hill

Chillicothe resident Maeryn Hill. A graduate of Chillicothe High School, Maeryn got a head start on her college career as a College Credit Plus student at OHIO Chillicothe last year and will be starting as a pre-bachelor of science in nursing major this fall. 

Why did you choose OHIO Chillicothe?  

It has an amazing program for nursing and I’m excited to learn and grow with it. 

What accomplishments are you most proud of from the past year? 

Getting ahead with CCP classes that put me ahead in classes and securing a job at Adena Health System to gain insight into learning experiences. 

How are you spending your summer? 

Working at the hospital and enjoying summer days in the sun. 

What are you most looking forward to this fall?  

Getting a start on my career and setting a path for my future. 

What's your deam job?

Neo-natal Intensive Care Unit nurse.

Marissa Huff 

Marissa Huff

McArthur resident Marissa Huff will be starting at OHIO Chillicothe as an early childhood education major this fall.

Why did you choose OHIO Chillicothe?  

I chose OHIO Chillicothe because I felt that it was the best fit for me. I knew I wanted to stay close to home, find a welcoming community, and a good campus. OHIO Chillicothe met and exceeded those needs. 

What accomplishments are you most proud of from the past year? 

Graduating third in my class at Vinton County High School. It was honestly a surprise to me when I found out I was even in the running for the top five. I have always enjoyed learning but my goal was to never "be at the top". I am proud that I earned my spot simply by doing be best. 

How are you spending your summer? 

I have spent this summer going to concerts, reading books, starting numerous crochet projects, swimming, raising rabbits for 4-H, and of course spending time with my friends and family. 

What are you most looking forward to this fall?  

I am looking forward to meeting new people. Coming from a small school, I have had classes with almost the same group of people for the past four to seven years. I will miss them and the memories we share, but I am excited to start a new chapter with different characters. 

What's your deam job?

My dream job is to be an elementary school teacher. Lucky for me, that is also my major. I have loved the idea of being a teacher for as long as I can remember. Of course, when I was little it was mostly because I love to organize and liked the idea of having my own room to decorate. I would be lying if I said I wasn't still excited about those things, but I now have a deeper understanding of the important impact a teacher can have on their students' lives, and I am blessed to have the opportunity to take on that role someday. 

McKenzie Kitchen 

McKenzie Kitchen

Clarksburg resident McKenzie Kitchen got her start at Ohio University Chillicothe as a high school student enrolled in the College Credit Plus program. Now, after graduating from Adena High School, she will start full-time at OHIO Chillicothe as a sophomore Biological Sciences-- Marine, Freshwater, and Environmental Biology major.

Why did you choose OHIO?  

It will allow me to start college, still being close to home, and the people I love.

What accomplishments are you most proud of from the past year? 

I was the Field Commander of my band, Swim Captain, a member of the National Honor Society,  and finished in the top 10 of my class. I also had a successful fair season so far, being chosen for the Ohio State Fair, and getting top 10% there. 

How are you spending your summer? 

Working at OHIO Chillicothe as a Student Admissions Assistant, spending time with my 4-H animals, and looking forward to the fair.

What are you most looking forward to this fall?  

Getting to meet new people and I'm excited for my biology class.

What's your dream job?

Getting to work with the Ohio Department of Natural Resourcs conserving our natural habitats and waterways.

Gavin McCune 

Gavin McCune

Gavin McCune, from Greenfield, Ohio, will start his college career at Ohio University Chillicothe as a Middle Childhood Education major this fall.

Why did you choose OHIO Chillicothe?

The amount of money I am saving, along with the short commute, and great programs, made my decision to go here an easy one.

What accomplishments are you are most proud of from the past year?

My 6-year Cross Country Award, along with the local scholarships I received- including one from OHIO Chillicothe. 

How are you spending your summer?

Mostly working, working out, and taking it easy. 

What are you most looking forward to this fall?

Getting to meet so many new people, including faculty, and getting the best education possible.

What's your dream job?

I would like to teach 5th or 6th-grade math/reading around the area.

Gage Miller 

Gage Miller

Chillicothe resident Gage Miller, plans to enter OHIO Chillicothe this fall as an undecided major.

Why did you choose OHIO?  

It's close to home.

What accomplishments are you most proud of from the past year? 

I made it to districts in wrestling. 

How are you spending your summer? 

Working our a lot and going to Myrtle Beach.

What are you most looking forward to this fall?  

Going to college.

What's your deam job?

Being a WWE wrestler.
