October 08, 2019 : Belmont Saving Bank sponsors youth hoop clinics at Ohio University Eastern

The youth basketball clinics will continue each Saturday morning throughout the month of October at Ohio University Eastern’s beautiful Health and Physical Education Center.

Starting today though, the clinics will take place with a new name, the Belmont Savings Bank Youth Clinics, thanks to the generosity of the new community sponsor.

“Belmont Savings Bank is pleased to partner with Ohio University Eastern and help provide this community activity,” said President and CEO Todd Cover.  “Our mission is to serve the local community and this is a great opportunity to benefit area youth as well as the OUE athletic department.  We look forward to continuing this sponsorship for many years to come.”

The Belmont Savings Bank Youth Clinics are being offered to boys and girls in K – 8 grade on Oct. 12, 19, and 26 from 10am – 11:30 am each week.  The cost is $10 per session, and all proceeds benefit the OUE Athletic Department.  Participants can choose to attend one, two, or all three remaining sessions.

Registration will take place from 9:30am-10am, prior to the start of the clinic each week.

The youth clinics will focus on dribbling, passing, shooting, rebounding, defense, and more in an active upbeat setting.  Ohio University Eastern Athletics Director E. J. Schodzinski will direct the clinic with help from the OUE coaching staff, as well as members of the men’s and women’s teams at OHIO Eastern.

“We are very thankful that Belmont Savings Bank has committed to sponsor the youth clinics and are looking forward to a strong partnership,” said Schodzinski.  “As a result of their generosity, each participant will also receive a free season pass to attend the Ohio University Eastern men’s and women’s basketball games this season, courtesy of Belmont Savings Bank.”
