Art Gallery

The OUE Gallery displays the works of local and national artists, as well as of the faculty, staff, and students of Ohio University. It is located on the second floor of Shannon Hall on the OUE campus. It is open Monday and Wednesday, 11am - 2pm; Tuesday from 12:30pm-3:30pm, and Thursday from 4pm - 7pm. Admission is free.


Artists interested in showing their work in the gallery are invited to submit a proposal to the Cultural Life and Diversity Committee. Proposals are considered on a rolling basis during the academic year (September through April). Student Employment Opportunity: Art Gallery Monitors Needed


Looking for a few hours of work between classes? The OUE Art Gallery is currently looking to hire interested and available students to work as Gallery Attendants. See the Art Gallery Attendant Guidelines for more information about the responsibilities and requirements of the position. We are looking for students who will have regular availability during any the following time slots: Monday 12:30-3:30, Tuesday 11-2, Wednesday 12:30-3:30, Thursday 4-7pm. We have split some of these shifts up between 2 workers if necessary in the past, so please feel free to reach out even if you only have partial availability.
