OHIO Reach Scholars Program

Ohio Reach Scholars is a state-wide Program established to improve retention and persistence rates among college-going former foster youth. It provides social support and academic enrichment opportunities to students who have spent any amount of time in foster care. Ohio University’s Ohio Reach Scholars Program offers participating students the opportunity to be part of a group whose members view each other as family, share special events for Parents Weekend, Moms Weekend, Thanksgiving, etc. It also offers special scholarships, internships, volunteering, workshops, mentoring, and more. We welcome faculty and administrators who would like to serve as professional mentors to our Ohio Reach Scholars. If interested, please fill out the attached form, or contact Alicia Chavira-Prado, Program coordinator chavirap@ohio.edu.
