Kathy Trace has served the university and local community with a focus on community health and outreach for several years. She graduated from Ohio University with a master's degree in Health Administration. She also received a degree from Mount Carmel School of Nursing. She has spent 35 years in the health care field with extensive nursing and health administrative experience. Currently, Kathy serves as the director for Community Health Programs (CHP) and Area Health Education Center (AHEC).
Kathy currently serves as a board member on the Trimble Local School Board, a secretary for the Sisters of St. Joseph Charitable Fund Board, a president for the Tomcat Bridgebuilders (a local non-profit organization to prevent substance abuse), a member on the Trimble Textbook Foundation Board and a member on the Athens-Columbus Albert Schweitzer Fellowship Board. Recently she has been awarded the 2010 Foster Cornwell Award for Community Service, Ohio's Distinguished Rural Health Administrator Award in 2007 and Standard of Excellence Award from Ohio University's Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine.
