iCUE Spotlight: July 5-11, 2019

 

Take a look at the upcoming events on the official OHIO Calendar of University Events. Anyone with an active OHIO ID can log in and complete the form to add events that are sponsored by any OHIO planning unit or registered student organization.

So be sure to add your OHIO events, programs and deadlines to the CUE to help keep all members of our University community in the loop!

Here’s a look at a few upcoming events:

Public Telescope Nights at Ohio University Observatory 
Friday, July 5 and Saturday, July 6, 9-11 p.m. The Observatory on The Ridges

Telescope nights are hosted by the Ohio University Astronomy faculty and students. Visitors may see lunar craters, Saturn's rings, Jupiter, Mars, star clusters, or distant galaxies, depending on the time of year and sky conditions. Telescope nights are free and open to the public.

Women's World Cup Watch Party 

Sunday, July 7, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Baker University Center 240, Athens OH 45701 

Join ISFS and ISU for another World Cup finals watch party. We'll have snacks to share and we hope to see you there!

Self Defense Training for Faculty and Staff 

Tuesday, July 9, noon-1 p.m. Baker University Center 231, Athens OH 45701 

Ohio University Police Officer John Stabler, a certified self-defense instructor, will present this one-hour session on defensive concepts for various types of assaults. Utilizing easy, effective and proven self-defense tactics, this training will provide participants with the knowledge to make an educated decision about resistance and their ability to use it.

Wednesday, July 10, 5:30-7 p.m. Innovation Center, 330 West State Street, Athens OH 45701 

Join Erin Rennich, Certified Strategyzer Facilitator and Innovation Center Client Services Manager and Executive Coach, to learn to think about your business idea from the perspective of your customer.

Last day to apply for or change a grading option for second summer session class

Last day to receive partial fee adjustment for complete withdrawal for second summer session

Last day to register for second summer session

Last day to remove (drop) a second summer session class with possible fee adjustment
 

Saturday, July 6, 2019

Students may withdraw from (drop) one or more second summer session classes through Aug. 2

Last day to check out of residence hall to receive 60 percent housing/meal plan refund for second session
