Ohio University’s Online Master's in Reading and Literacy Education Degree Program has been ranked among the top 25 for 2018 by Best Value Schools. The ranking was recently published on the organization’s website.
Only programs with average tuition rates of $20,000 a year or less were considered. Schools were then ranked based on program popularity, overall strength of online teacher education programs, accreditation, and affordability.
The Patton College of Education was ranked 18th.
This ranking was created using the National Center for Education Statistics' College Navigator database to identify public and private (non-profit) colleges and universities offering master's in reading and literacy education degrees online.

During this 34-credit program, students also tackle a master’s research project. To do so, they analyze an issue within their focus area and write a paper on the findings.
