Dille, a painter 1 in the Paint Shop, was nominated by Jeff McGlamery, assistant director of building trades in Facilities Management, who wrote: “As a team member of the Paint Shop for more than 30 years, Chris has honed his skills to become an extraordinary technician. In addition to possessing exceptional skills as a painter, he is an expert in plaster and drywall repair. Since January 2005, he has directly contributed to the Paint Shop’s completion of more than 7,100 work orders.” McGlamery also complimented Dille for being dedicated to his craft and the University. “His 38 years of service to our campus and thousands of students has been continually conducted with a superior attitude and a ‘can do’ spirit that is rarely matched,” he said. A closer look at Chris Dille: What do you like about your job? I like painting in different areas on campus and not being stuck in one building all the time. What do you do in your spare time? I work on rental properties and around my house and I love spending time with my grandchildren. Bucket list item? Vacation in Hawaii. Where do you see yourself in five years? Retired. What is something people don’t know about you? I have two grandkids with cystic fibrosis and we love them dearly. We are hunting for a cure and are always accepting donations. What advice do you have for college students? Love what you are doing because time goes by fast.

Ramage, an access control tech in Facilities Management, was nominated by Emily Baxstrom, a communications specialist in Instructional Innovation. Baxstrom credited him for driving 40 minutes back to campus to open a broken locker in Grover Center for her that contained many of her personal belongings. “This was after hours, probably during his dinner, and he was so kind when he arrived and worked quickly to get me my things,” Baxstrom said. “I felt so bad having someone drive such a long way after hours, but Scot was very kind. He didn’t show any sign of irritation or complain whatsoever.” A closer look at Scot Ramage: What do you like about your job? The people I work with. What do you do in your spare time? Remodel my home and ride motorcycles. Bucket list item? Vacation in Alaska. Where do you see yourself in five years? I am perfectly content with where I am now. What advice do you have for college students? Be timely, dependable, flexible and respectful and be appreciative of opportunities.

Schall, a custodial services manager, was nominated by Donna Yoho, a custodial worker on the second shift. She complimented him for immediately getting her the supplies that she needs. “When I ask for something, he always seems to have it the next day!” Yoho said. “He’s also very helpful in training us how to use the equipment. He has a great attitude, works with us when we need a day off and is very respectful. I couldn’t ask for a better boss and he always makes time to answer questions.” A closer look at Steve Schall: What do you like about your job? Getting to know the students. Thacker, a custodial worker 1, was nominated by his second shift colleague, Andrew Andrews, who complimented him for his positive attitude about work. “He never complains about having to do something for someone,” Andrews said. “He knows his area and the areas we are all asked to cover.” A closer look at Shaun Thacker: What do you like about your job?
