Ohio University’s Kennedy Museum of Art announces a Guest Curator Program, an opportunity for members of OHIO and surrounding communities to engage in the creative and central role of the curatorial process supported by the expertise and resources of the academic museum staff.

The museum is accepting proposals for educational, engaging and innovative exhibitions on a rolling basis. Selected guest curators will work one-on-one with museum staff to develop exhibitions from start to finish.

As an academic museum with a teaching mission, it provides Ohio University students, faculty and staff, as well as the greater community, with engaging and thought-provoking encounters, and serves as a learning laboratory for its visitors. This new Guest Curator Program represents a chance to build new partnerships with the University and the surrounding community.

The museum will hold information sessions on Thursday, April 4 in the Nelsonville Public Library’s large meeting room from noon to 1 p.m. and Wednesday, April 24 in the Athens Public Library’s Raymond C. Cook Meeting Room from noon to 1 p.m. Interested members of the community are invited to attend to receive more information and ask questions about the curatorial proposal submission process. Light refreshments will be served.
