Sign up for April Self-defense training

The Emergency Programs Office and the Ohio University Police Department will host self-defense training for Ohio University faculty and staff April 22 from noon-1 p.m. in Baker University Center, Room 240.

Officer John Stabler, Ohio University Police Department, a certified RAD (Rape Aggression Defense) instructor, will present this one-hour session on defensive concepts for various types of assaults. Utilizing easy, effective and proven self-defense tactics, this training will provide participants with the knowledge to make an educated decision about resistance and their ability to use it.

“As a department, we want to assure that we provide our community with tools to help them in all aspects of their lives,” said Stabler. “My personal goal is to provide resources that help ensure the safety and security of members of our OHIO community and help them in case they find themselves in a situation where they need to defend themselves.”

Please email Bev Wyatt to register. Space is limited.
