Grover Lecture Featuring Dr. Charles Leddon

Come listen to the 2019 Grover Lecture featuring Dr. Charles Leddon, director of sports science with the Cincinnati Reds.

 

Employee Appreciation Event

Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Ping Center, Athens, OH 45701

Ohio University is hosting a pre-game tailgate on Saturday, January 26, 2019 beginning at 11:30 a.m. for all University employees and their families. The tailgate will take place in the Ping Center and will include kid-friendly activities, food and drinks. Register at https://ohio.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_e58AYD4UQs0KRN3. There is no cost to attend this event. Each employee is eligible for two free admissions to the OHIO vs. Ball State men’s basketball game that begins at 2 p.m. Additional ticket vouchers for family members will be available for $10 each. Employees will need to have their Ohio University ID in order to receive the two free tickets and to purchase additional tickets at the $10 rate.

 

MUSIC: Trombone Day

Career Week | Arts & Sciences Career & Networking Week

Students, alumni, faculty and staff are invited to the third annual College of Arts & Sciences Career & Networking Week. Students who RSVP for the Alumni-Student Networking Reception will receive free personalized business cards.

 

George Washington Forum | Illiberal Reformers: Race, Eugenics and American Economics in Progressive

The George Washington Forum at Ohio University presents “Illiberal Reformers: Race, Eugenics and American Economics in the Progressive Era” on Tuesday, Jan. 29, at 7:30 p.m. in Galbreath Chapel. The speaker is Thomas C. Leonard, research scholar in the Council of the Humanities at Princeton University and lecturer in the Economics Department, which has twice awarded him the Richard D. Quandt Prize for outstanding teaching.

 

Dr. Judith Lee presents 'Brother Jonathan Runs for President: Spoof Campaigns, Vernacular Humor, and the Rise of Donald Trump'

In celebration of her career, Dr. Judith Lee will present a public lecture through comic audio, video, and other media examples. This talk will trace the history and cultural significance of mock candidates proposed as real electoral options in light of the politics of our time. A reception will follow in Schoonover 130 (the Lasher Learning Lab).

Last day to add a spring semester class (instructor's permission required)

Last day to apply for or change a grading option for spring semester class

Last day to receive partial fee adjustment of registration fees for complete withdrawal

Last day to register for spring semester

Last day to remove (drop) a class from student's academic record with possible fee adjustment

Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019

Students may withdraw from (drop) one or more spring semester classes through March 29

Last day to check out of residence hall to receive 60% housing/meal plan refund
