Interested in playing Tracer baseball?

Fall baseball season wrapped up with an alumni game in early October at Checkush Field at the Newark Road campus of Ohio University and Zane State College, but Coach Zack Pollock invites those who are interested in playing during Spring Semester to get involved now.

Zanesville Campus students enrolled at either Ohio University or Zane State College are eligible to play for the Tracers. The intercollegiate team practices on Friday nights and Sunday at Checkush Field, just out from the Muskingum Recreation Center.

Practice for the Spring Semester season is scheduled to begin on January 5, keeping the same Friday night and Sunday morning schedule, but will be held at The Fieldhouse on Sunrise Drive in Zanesville. “I am looking into adding one or two additional practices through the week either on campus or at another location,” Pollock shared. “It will depend on schedules of the players and availability of facilities.”

Spring season runs from the first winter practice in January through May, with tournament games, so there is plenty of opportunity to play ball. For more information, email pollockz@ohio.edu or call 740-408-6774.
