Ohio University Women's Club to host kickoff event Sept. 13

The Ohio University Women’s Club would like to extend an invitation for the women of the Ohio University community for drinks and appetizers on Wednesday, Sept. 13, as the group celebrates its annual Kick Off of the Ohio University Women's Club. The event will take palce in Alden Library 319, the Friends of the Library Room, from 5-7:30 p.m. for a casual mix and mingle.

Initially founded in 1936, the Ohio Universtiy Women's Club is a social organization for women who work at Ohio University and the spouses/partners of Ohio University employees. The OHIO Women’s Club provides a unique support system to members of all ages, sharing passion for and support of the Ohio University and Athens communities. With interest groups offering monthly wine tastings, lunch uptown, dinner parties, book clubs and movie nights, there is something for everyone!

We hope that our old friends will renew their memberships and that we will be joined by new friends as the seasons change. If you have a friend who is interested in the OHIO Women's Club, this is the perfect event as it is open to all women in the OHIO community, and it is right after work.

The board members will be unveiling this year’s interest groups and some club-wide events at Kick-Off. Membership forms and dues ($25) will also be accepted at this event.

If you are interested in joining the Ohio University Women's Club, please stop by and meet us.
