Prepare for the Fair: Workshops to aid student, alumni success at Career and Internship Fair

Twice every academic year, Ohio University’s Career and Leadership Development Center (CLDC) holds a Career and Internship Fair, creating a forum for current students and alumni to network with potential employers while exploring potential employment opportunities. Preceding each fair, students and alumni are encouraged to attend the CLDC’s “Prepare for the Fair” events.

The Career and Internship Fair will be held on one day this semester, Sept. 27, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Baker University Center Ballroom. The CLDC will be holding four “Prepare for the Fair” workshops Sept. 18-21 to assure student and alumni readiness for the fair while helping them excel in their career development and exploration.

“It’s a week of workshops meant to prepare everyone for what they might have to do during the Career and Internship Fair,” said Erika Peyton, assistant director for employer relations and marketing at the CLDC. Peyton noted that students who attend the three workshops being held Sept. 19-21 will be halfway to earning the CLDC’s Professional Leadership Certificate, one of two leadership certificates the CLDC offers to students for no charge.

The following “Prepare for the Fair” workshops will take place Sept. 18-21 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Amanda J. Cunningham Leadership Center, Baker University Center 366:

All of these events are free. Registration is not required but appreciated. Students can indicate their intention to attend through the Facebook events on the CLDC Facebook page. For more information on these and other CLDC events, click here
