OHIO Hockey announces ticket prices, promotions for 60th season

The Ohio University Hockey Team will take the ice at Bird Arena 25 times this season, and Bobcat fans now have the opportunity to purchase individual tickets and season ticket packages online for all Bobcat home games. A simple purchasing process for season tickets and individual game tickets is now available at www.ohiobobcatshockey.com. The Bird Arena Box Office will start selling tickets in early September.

Season ticket packages range from $69 for student tickets to $378 for a season ticket package for a family of four. Season tickets are an exceptional value, providing all 25 Bobcat home games at discounted rates. Fans can get all 25 home games at $118 for an individual season ticket, $218 for two season tickets, $298 for three season tickets and $378 for four season tickets.

OHIO Hockey is also excited to announce individual ticket prices for 2017-18. The wildly popular Dads Weekend, Parents Weekend and Sibs Weekend tickets will be $6 a game for students and $9 a game for non-students. All other weekend tickets will be priced $5 for students and $8 for non-students. Fans are encouraged to buy seats in advance as tickets go quickly on game days.

The OHIO Hockey home opener will be against an in-state ACHA foe when John Carroll University comes to Athens on Friday, Sept. 22, and again Saturday, Sept. 23, both at 7:30 p.m. A unique and exciting home weekend will take place when the newly minted ACHA Division I program University of Nevada-Las Vegas flies east to Athens to take on the Bobcats on Oct. 13 and 14. The Bobcats will also be wearing special military themed jerseys for the home series against Lindenwood University on Nov. 17 and 18.

Fans will be excited to see that there will be numerous new “Theme Nights” and game promotions throughout the season. Some special nights include the “Teddy Bear Toss” for charity on Saturday, Dec. 2, against CSCHL rival Robert Morris Illinois-University. Fans are encouraged to bring a new stuffed toy to throw on the ice after the first OHIO Hockey goal. Toys will be collected and donated to charity for holiday gifts.

OHIO Hockey will also be celebrating the 60th season of OHIO Hockey the weekend of Jan. 19 and 20 against Pitt University where several hockey alumni will be inducted into the OHIO Hockey Hall of Fame.
