Night under the stars at the Hollywood Bowl

What do Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, and the Great Gonzo all have in common? They’re fantastic singers, of course!

Join the Greater Los Angeles Chapter for this year’s OHIO Alumni Night at 6 p.m. Sept. 9 at the Hollywood Bowl. Sit under the stars next to your fellow Bobcats for a sensational and inspirational show from your favorite ensemble: The Muppets!

If you are new to the Los Angeles area, this is a great way to meet new friends and alumni. If not, join the celebration anyway! For more than 10 years, this exciting event has brought together Bobcats of all graduating classes, from the 1960s to 2016.

“The Hollywood Bowl is my favorite event that we do every year because it does bring in such a diverse amount of alumni,” said Gretchen Douglass, past president and ’98 graduate.

Although the show begins at 8 p.m., the fun starts at 6:00 p.m. with a picnic dinner sponsored by the OHIO Alumni Association.  Boxed dinners from Mendocino Farms will be available, and this includes a Mendo’s Favorite Sandwich, a signature side, a dessert, and a bottle of water. Gluten free and vegan options are available.  Two drink tickets can also be redeemed for at the picnic for guests 21-and-older.

Tickets are $20 per person. Register and find more information on this exciting night here. Deadline for tickets is August 3.

“The Hollywood Bowl gathering is the perfect combination of alumni networking and fun times in a historic Los Angeles venue,” said Ryan Boyd, assistant director of external relations. “And with The Muppets as the headline, I can’t imagine a better way to spend time with fellow Bobcats!”

The Muppets and friends promise the appearance of a special guest, and fireworks after the show!
