Kennedy Museum of Art features Athens High School student photography

The Kennedy Museum of Art presents “Emerging Artists: Athens High School Photography,” a juried exhibition of new photographic works created by students working with instructor Ellen Gagliano, on view in the second-floor gallery through May 13.

“Emerging Artists” is an annual exhibition, started in 2012, featuring photography by students in a different regional high school each year. The featured schools are responsible for the selection and delivery of photographs, often using a panel made up of teachers and local experts. The museum then mounts and frames the photographs for the exhibition, including one photograph per student to maximize the number of students represented.

The exhibition can be viewed in the Kennedy Museum of Art in Lin Hall 536, 100 Ridges Circle, Ohio University, Athens. Open gallery hours Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Weekend hours are Saturday and Sunday, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
