Student organizations collaborating to host ‘Baker Birthday Bash’

Ohio University’s Student Alumni Board is collaborating with several other student organizations to host the “Baker Birthday Bash” from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, in Baker University Center.

Free and open to all students, the “Baker Birthday Bash” commemorates OHIO’s Founders Day (Feb. 18), marking the date in 1804 when the Ohio General Assembly approved charter plans for the creation of Ohio University.

The “Baker Birthday Bash” is a celebration held throughout OHIO’s Baker University Center, with each floor of the building carrying a different theme hosted by a different student organization.

OHIO’s Student Alumni Board will be hosting a trivia game on the first floor of the building. The Black Student Cultural Programming Board will be offering a music-themed event, complete with a DJ, on the building’s second floor. Ohio University’s International Student Union will be presenting an internationally-themed celebration on the third floor. The University Program Council (UPC) will hold several Olympics-themed activities and “Minute to Win It” games on the fourth floor, including in the Baker University Center Ballroom.
