Members of OHIO’s Bobcat Battalion to compete in Best Ranger Challenge

Members of Ohio University’s Army ROTC Program, also known as the Bobcat Battalion, will be participating in the Best Ranger Challenge Feb. 23-24 at Xavier University.

Eight teams will compete in the challenge against several colleges and universities within the 7th Brigade of Cadet Command. They will be competing in a variety of events that include a Ranger PT test and 10 stations that will test the cadets’ military knowledge, physical fitness and mental endurance with 25-30 miles of rucking altogether throughout the day between stations.

The best of the teams will be eligible to move on to the next stages of the Ranger Challenge and will be sent to Fort Knox, Kentucky, to compete against the other best ranking schools within the Brigade.

Any local press are welcome to cover the event or contact the Bobcat Battalion for photos. For more information, contact Cadet Brooke Trader at bt342614@ohio.edu.
