Opening reception for art works of emeritus professor Ron Kroutel is Friday, Jan. 19

The Ohio University Kennedy Museum of Art will host the exhibit, '50-Year Journey: Ron Kroutel Paintings,' from Jan. 20 to March 25.

On Friday, Jan. 19, a Walk and Talk with artist Ron Kroutel and guest curator Rajko Grlić will take place from 5:15 to 6 p.m. followed by an opening reception from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Both events are free and open to the public.

The retrospective exhibition features 36 works spanning the career of Ron Kroutel, Emeritus Professor of Art at Ohio University's School of Art + Design.

These works trace the artist's personal journey of self discovery and sense of place after coming to Athens to live and work in 1966. It is also a personal tribute by his friend, acclaimed filmmaker and Ohio Eminent Professor of Film Rajko Grlić, who organized this exhibition.
