Workshop to focus on orientation programs for study away, study abroad programs


Ohio University faculty and staff interested in learning more about creating pre-departure orientation programs for students involved their study away or study abroad programs are invited to a special workshop on Wednesday, Oct. 26.

No registration is required for the workshop, which will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. in Baker University Center 235.

During the session, representatives from the Office of Global Opportunities (OGO) will present a wide range of information related to the study abroad and study away programs available at OHIO and how to help the students prepare for these programs. Audience members will also be invited to ask questions and share their experiences.

The workshop is being coordinated by OGO, which is holding a series of sessions throughout the year on topics related to study abroad and study away programs. Upcoming workshops include:

  • Feb. 1, 9 to 10:30 a.m. – “Study Abroad and Away - Career Perspectives," Baker University Center 235
  • March 29, 9 to 10:30 a.m. – "Community Engagement on Short-Term Programs," Baker University Center 235.

All faculty, staff, program assistants and anyone interested in international education and marketing are invited to attend the workshops. Doughnuts and coffee will be served.
