Third annual International Education Week Photo Contest now accepting entries

Ohio University’s Office of Global Opportunities (OGO) is bringing the International Education Week Photo Contest back to campus this fall. The competition is open to all OHIO students, faculty, alumni and staff.

Participants have the choice to submit their photographs in five categories: People, Crossing Cultures, Sense of Place, Bobcats: Near and Far, and Health and Empowering Experiences. Entries are due before Sunday, Oct. 16, at 11 p.m. and must be accompanied by a completed official entry form and submitted electronically to OGOphotocontest@gmail.com. Entrants can submit up to 10 photos, a maximum of two in each category. Visit the OGO website for more information on rules and regulations.

The winners of each category will have their work framed and displayed at the Front Room in Baker University Center during International Education Week until the close of fall semester. This year, there will also be a “People’s Choice Award” voted on through Instagram.

The goal of the International Photography Contest is to celebrate different ways the OHIO community has been empowered by their global experiences and to encourage others to embark on their own international education journey.
