What's in the CUE this week at OHIO

It's the second week of summer semester! And while this may seem to be a season filled with construction, things keep rolling right along at OHIO! Be sure to check out the official Calendar of University Events (CUE) to find events to challenge and entertain you and deadlines that will keep you in the know.

And don't forget to add the events that are happening in your area to the CUE. Anyone with an active OHIO ID can do it and events are welcome from all University units and registered student organizations!

Here are a few highlights from the week ahead:

(Tuesday, May 16, noon-1 p.m., Grosvenor West 111, Dublin and Cleveland): If you've ever wondered how research volunteers get involved or thought about conducting your own clinical trial, this brown bag event is for you. Bring your lunch and join the Clinical and Translational Research Unit for a guest speaker and brief talk that will help you know how you can make a difference. Free and open to the public.

On the Green 2017 (Wednesday, May 17-Sunday, May 21, various locations on Athens Campus): It's time for a spring Homecoming! On the Green 2017 will welcome back OHIO alumni but there are lots of events in which locals are welcome to participate as well! Events include Alumni College, a through the decades film festival, music, a cruise-in, the Bobcat Dash 5K, the inaugural Food Truck Festival and much more and the week is capped off with the OH, I dO vow renewal ceremony and farewell brunch. I hope you remembered to register!

OHIO Baseball vs. Kent State (Thursday-Saturday, Bob Wren Stadium): Take me out to the ball game so I can watch the Bobcats close their regular season with a home series! Thursday's game starts at 6 p.m. and it's Fan Appreciation Day with a raffle for prizes! Friday's action starts at 3 p.m. and it's Free T-Shirt Friday as well as Graduation Day! Saturday is Senior Day and closes the series starting at 1 p.m. (and free admission for Cruise-in at the Convo Car Show participants). And, as always, OHIO students get free admission with ID to all games!

#CUETip: The central CUE is at the heart of a network of OHIO calendars that offer the same great functions (text and e-mail notifications, easy saving to personal calendars, etc.). The newest calendar is maintained by Transportation and Parking Services and lists parking lot closures around Athens Campus. For a full list of OHIO calendars, visit https://calendar.ohio.edu/directory.

Visit calendar.ohio.edu/admin/setupevents.aspx to log in with your OHIO ID and add your organization or department's events to the CUE. Feeling lost? Visit www.ohio.edu/calendar/help/ or e-mail calendar@ohio.edu for help.
