Project Hindsight: KeAysia reflects on her freshman year

In her last Project Hindsight blog, KeAysia Middlebrooks reflects on her freshman year at OHIO as it comes to a close, including important lessons learned as a first-year student.

It is finally coming to an end. Honestly, I feel like I came back from winter break, blinked, and now I’m studying for finals. I’m not ready for finals at all!! My first year has brought new lifelong friendships, many laughs, and stress. A lot of stress but it was worth it. Looking back, I can tell that I have grown so much as a person and as a dancer in such a short time and I’m excited to see where I will be when I graduate.

Something that I have learned this year was that no matter how stressed you are or if you think you can’t do it, you can. At this point, you must push yourself to go above and beyond so you can end up exactly where you want to be. It’s hard to believe that I have one week left as a freshman in college. AAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! Based on this year, I know the next three years will be over in a blink of an eye. I have to remember to enjoy the ride that I’m on because I will miss it when it’s over.
