International Street Fair celebrates cultural diversity of OHIO, Athens (PHOTOS)


Members of the Ohio University and Athens communities joined together this past weekend to participate in an annual tradition that celebrates cultural diversity.

Held on the streets of uptown Athens, the International Street Fair capped off Ohio University’s International Week festivities, created to celebrate the diversity OHIO’s international community brings to both the University and the greater community. From the parade of flags and the performances to the food and activities, the day was designed to educate, entertain and engage the collective community in all things global. 

Here are some highlights from this year’s International Street Fair:

The message will be included in the “You Are Welcome Here” video being created via a partnership between OHIO’s Division of Student Affairs, the Office for Diversity and Inclusion, and the Office of Global Affairs and International Studies. The deadline to submit a clip for the video is Friday, April 21. For more information, click here
