In two weeks, the newest members of the Bobcat Family will begin moving into their new home away from home on Ohio University’s Athens Campus. In order to help make that process as easy as possible, Ohio University Residential Housing is offering first-year students some helpful tips on what to expect when they arrive on campus and how to plan accordingly.
Earlier this week, Residential Housing debuted the second in its “OHIO 101” series of web videos designed to prepare the Class of 2018 as it prepares to be welcomed into Bobcat Nation. This second video includes tips on how to decorate your residence hall room, recommendations on what to bring with you as well as a list of items that are provided with your room, and information on how to find the exact dimensions and layout of your particular room.
The first video in the series included insights from OHIO’s upperclassmen on what they wish they had known before coming to Ohio University. Upcoming episodes of “OHIO 101” will explore what not to bring to campus with you and information on moving into your residence hall.
Move-in for OHIO’s first-year students will be held Thursday, Aug. 21, and Friday, Aug. 22. Residence halls will open to returning students on Saturday, Aug. 23. Fall semester begins Monday, Aug. 25.
