From staff reports
University Communications and Marketing (UCM) recently released its annual report detailing a variety of projects and partnerships that resulted from the department’s work during the 2013-14 year.
UCM is staffed with creators, collaborators, promoters, listeners, storytellers and mentors who work to elevate the University’s profile and inform the University community and the public. Approximately 50 Ohio University students work at UCM each year through PACE, work-study and internship opportunities. Students played a role in much of the work performed this past year, giving them real world experience to build their professional portfolios.
According to UCM’s Executive Director Renea Morris, "Working with students, faculty, and staff across the University is part of UCM’s mission. Every day, staff members are looking for ways to showcase the institution’s excellence, increase brand awareness, influence recruitment and retention and develop positive relationships with stakeholders."
Highlights from this annual report include:
A special feature of UCM’s Annual Report – the downloadable 2014-15 calendar wallpapers -- is available once again this year by visiting http://www.ohio.edu/ucm/report/14/index.cfm. The wallpapers feature some of UCM’s beautiful campus photography.
UCM’s commitment to promote Ohio University continues with a new set of promotable materials now available for Ohio University employees to reserve free of charge.
The materials include two OHIO green table skirts, two trifold table top backdrops and three popup banners (examples pictured left). These promotional tools were selected based on feedback from campus communicators and requests from the University community for materials that would help promote Ohio University.
