WellWorks Winter Gathering set for Dec. 16

An annual tradition at Ohio University that draws hundreds of community members to celebrate the holiday season is promising to create another fun-filled experience when it gets underway on Tuesday, Dec. 16.

From 4 to 7 p.m. in the Grover Center Atrium, visitors can hear live music and try delicious, local food served by businesses in the area at the annual WellWorks Winter Gathering. Music will be provided by the acoustic duo of Colleen Carow and Chris Keesey, Liz Pahl and Corbin Marsh of The Summoners, and The Athens Children’s Chorus.

WellWorks Director Kim Valentour said she enjoys meeting the people who visit each year, and the event is a great way to celebrate the spirit of the holiday season. “Since it became an annual event, people look forward to it, and it's fun,” she said.

Raffle prizes will be available, as well as free chair massages and other special features that will contribute to the festivities.

“We’ve done it for many years,” Valentour continued. “It’s sort of an open house, as well as a kind of customer appreciation day, but it’s open to everybody and not just WellWorks members.”
