The Ohio University Women's Club is excited to open their 77th year of operation with a chance to socialize with members and have some fun.
The goal of this organization is to bring together female faculty and administrators, as well as the spouses of faculty and administrators.
The OUWC Fall Kick-OFF will take place from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26 in Baker University Center rooms 240, 241 and 242.
"The OUWC is a pretty diverse group of women. You are bound to meet somebody with whom you share interests and experiences." said Beth Tragert, who is a returning member of OUWC, and serving as the current membership chair.
OUWC provides a unique community for women to bond and participate in activities such as Art Happy Hour at the Dairy Barn, a football tailgate party, and charity events such as Race for a Reason.
This organization also organizes several interest groups, which are open for all members to take part in on a regular basis. These include wine tasting, playgroup and gathering for lunch uptown once a month. Members of this organization can be as involved as they would like, but there is no pressure to join everything.
All current or retired staff members along with their spouses and partners are welcome to attend. Light refreshments will be served. The kickoff evening is an excellent opportunity to mingle, learn more about everything OUWC provides and see what it is like to be a member of the organization.
"This is an organization that is easy to be a part of and it offers great opportunities to make new friendships with interesting people" said Tragert.
