On Monday, July 22, Vice President for Finance and Administration Stephen Golding sent the following message to the University community outlining several changes in staff and leadership in his office:
Over the past month there have been several Vice President for Finance and Administration announcements related to leadership and staff changes.
Deb Shaffer has joined the University as the Senior Associate Vice President (SAVP) for Finance and Administration and will be responsible for the departments of Human Resources and Finance. Her first day was Wednesday, July 10. Joe Lalley has also been hired as the SAVP for Information Technologies and Administrative Services which includes the Office of Information Technology and Facilities. Joe begins his new duties on Thursday, August 1.
In addition to the recruitment of new senior leadership, Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) Linda Lonsinger has accepted a position in the Office of Legal Affairs as Associate General Counsel effective Monday, July 22. We have retained the services of Paul Sundberg to serve as interim CHRO. Furthermore, Chief Information Officer (CIO) Brice Bible will be undertaking an IT shared services project with the Ohio Board of Regents (OBR) to start-up a statewide research portal that is a principle objective of the OBR Sixth Condition Report for FY 2013. Assistant CIO of Infrastructure Duane Starkey will assume day-to-day responsibility for the Office of Information Technology beginning Monday, July 22.
