Foods at the Mini Farmers Market

In an effort to place an emphasis on the fall market dates, the Mini Farmers Market will take a hiatus for the rest of the summer. The bimonthly sales will resume Friday, Sept. 12.
The Market will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the following days:
Friday, Sept. 12 - 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Friday, Sept. 26 - 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Friday Oct. 10 - 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Friday, Oct. 24 - 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
The free lunch totes will be available at the Sept. 12 sale.
The sales are sponsored by The Campus Involvement Center, Off Campus Living and Community Service programs. They were created to give the University community an opportunity to purchase several local vendors' most unique items.
The sales feature local foods and items, including organic breads, jams/jellies, confections, coffees, teas and chocolates. They are held every other Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the former Howard Hall site at the corner of Union and College streets.
Some of the registered vendors include the Sassafras Farm, Herbal Sage Tea, Sarah's Sweets, No Bull Dog Treats, Herbavore Gardens, Dale's Creations, OU Fair Trade, Heather Irwin, Chesterhill Produce Auction and Peaceful by Nature.
All Mini Farmers Market proceeds go directly to the vendors and support sustainable agriculture, local businesses and the locovore movement. Everyone, including Ohio University faculty, staff and students, is welcome to participate as a vendor or buyer.
