Ohio University is preparing to make the switch in fall of 2015 to a level-rate tuition and fee program, named The OHIO Guarantee. Part of the process to transition to the new program includes educating prospective students and their parents as well as the entire University community about this exciting, innovative tuition and fee structure, which is the first of its kind in the state of Ohio.
University Communications and Marketing (UCM) is supporting these education efforts by rolling out a series of short videos designed to answer basic questions about The OHIO Guarantee. UCM Executive Director Renea Morris says the series of five videos, which feature behind-the-scenes and on-screen student talent, includes information about financial aid, regional campuses and graduation.
“We want to give prospective students and their parents, as well as the University community, important information about The OHIO Guarantee in a fun, easy-to-digest format. These videos cover what you need to know without taking up a lot of time,” Morris said.
The first video, “The OHIO Guarantee and You,” is now available on The OHIO Guarantee website. Compass will announce each additional video as the remaining videos roll out through the middle to July.
The OHIO Guarantee video series is a production of University Communications and Marketing’s Video and Photography Services. Led by Video and Photography Services Director David Urano, four students helped produce the videos behind-the-scenes and on-screen. In the first of the series, “The OHIO Guarantee and You,” Gabe Marchetti, Jarrod Dowalter and Sarah Herbert provided their production skills, while Rachel Bailey acted as the on-screen talent for the video.
