Mail Services transitions to Ohio University Auxiliaries on April 1

Ohio University Mail Services transitioned from Facilities to Auxiliaries on April 1, 2014.

“Each Auxiliaries unit is committed to supporting the academic mission and vision of Ohio University,” said Gwyn Scott, associate vice president of auxiliaries. “Welcoming Mail Services into the Auxiliaries family is a strong step toward strengthening such commitments, especially in terms of streamlining campus printing and mailing needs.”

Mail Services provides sorting, pick-up, delivery of campus and U.S. Mail, along with other valuable service options, to all departments of Ohio University.

Shelly Lowery-Rowan, director of mail services, stated that the departmental transition will not yield a fundamental change in the day-to-day operations of Mail Services.

“There will be no alterations to Mail Services’ existing processes or procedures,” Lowery-Rowan said. “This move is focused toward positively streamlining the customer experience.”

Ohio University Auxiliaries works to provide efficient, high quality service to all campus customers and guests. These Auxiliaries units currently include: Airport Operations, Bobcat Essentials, Culinary Services, Moving & Surplus, Printing Services/Campus Signage and Ohio University Regional Services.
