In addition to showcasing the beauty of campus and reinforcing the brand, another big part of the ohio.edu redesign is sharing information about Ohio University events. Earlier this year, an advisory task force and development team was formed to work on the OHIO Centralized Calendar Initiative that was announced last spring by the offices of the Executive Vice President and Provost and the Vice President for Finance and Administration to determine the requirements and develop the guidelines to consolidate existing University calendars into an enhanced official Calendar of University Events (CUE). In tandem with the redesign of the front door -- which will highlight featured events -- the CUE will receive an updated look that is complementary to the homepage. With a more prominent presence, the CUE will highlight the diversity and vitality of the OHIO experience.
Because events that will be featured on the homepage will be taken from the CUE, it is important that the CUE has all events from all campuses, whether they are departmental or sponsored by student organizations. Even if your event is not on the front door, the world is still only one click away from finding your information so make sure your event information reaches the CUE. Anyone with an active OHIO ID can add events by logging in at www.ohio.edu/calendar/submit/ and filling out the form. For help adding events to the CUE, download a how-to PDF.
