The Kennedy Museum of Art is offering two events this week for art lovers to attend and learn something new. Both events are free and open to the public and visitor parking is available to all guests.
The Kennedy Museum will host an Inside/Outside Art talk with paper sculptor Kathy Guest from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 3. Guest earned a BFA in print making from the Tyler School of Art at Temple University and works to create free standing paper assemblages. Her pieces have been displayed in numerous galleries, including one in Paris. Her Kennedy presentation will cover both the form and content of her art as well as what she sees as the roots of her inspiration.
On April 4 and 5 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the Kennedy Museum will host a Native American Jewelry Show and Sale. This Moms Weekend event will feature a wide variety of pieces to spice up any spring wardrobe. Friends of the Kennedy Museum, Good Girl Jewelry and White's Mill sponsor this event.
All Friends of the Kennedy Museum members will receive a 10 percent discount on all purchases and the opportunity to buy a membership will also be available. All proceeds from the jewelry sale will benefit the Kennedy Museum.
