University facilities staff from the office of design and construction met with officials from the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission and the contractor, Quandel Construction Group Inc. Sunday afternoon to perform an inspection.
Joe Lalley, senior associate vice president (SAVP) for information technologies and administrative services at Ohio University, said the university will begin post-construction cleanup work on Monday morning, Nov. 25. This and other steps required for LEED certification will take about a week. Scripps College of Communication faculty and staff are expected to begin the move into the facility on Monday, Dec. 2.
The few remaining exterior work punch list items will be completed as weather allows. When complete, the Schoonover Center will house all five schools of the Scripps College of Communication.
