Training offered for new BobcatBUY user interface

The below message has been sent to active BobcatBUY users, financial managers, and chief financial administrative officers to provide important information on the next BobcatBUY software update which occurs three times annually in spring, summer and fall.
The latest release of OHIO's eProcurement solution, BobcatBUY, will go into production on Monday, Nov. 4.  This release, "Release 13.3", will result in significant updates to the solution. A full listing of these updates will be loaded to our webpage at http://www.ohio.edu/finance/procuretopay/procurement/bobcatbuy.cfm during the week of Oct. 28, under the header of "Click to see the latest changes under 13.3". The current update information for "Release 13.2" will be replaced with the new Release 13.3 information. In addition, the Quick Reference Guides and the long form training guides will be updated and posted here as well during the week of Nov. 4.
All users will be impacted by the 13.3 release. Although training is not mandatory, the migration to the new User Interface is mandatory and the current home screen you are used to seeing will be replaced by the new User Interface, PHOENIX. You are encouraged you to take advantage of the PHOENIX specific training beginning on Monday, Oct. 21.

The User Interface (the navigation and front facing screen of the solution) has been updated in response to customer feedback from OHIO and around the nation. The new User Interface, PHOENIX, will replace the existing screens to provide a more updated and comfortable navigation experience. You will not be able to revert to the "Classic" User Interface after Nov. 3. Once you navigate to the Requisition, Direct Payment, Request to Add Supplier and other familiar areas within BobcatBUY , the forms and navigation have retained the same look and functionality that you have become accustomed to in BobcatBUY.

The PHOENIX User Interface will be implemented on Monday, Nov. 4, with the newest software release, 13.3. Please register for PHOENIX User Interface Training on the BobcatBUY webpage at http://www.ohio.edu/finance/procuretopay/procurement/bobcatbuy.cfm by selecting "For training opportunities available on the Ohio University Online Seminar/Workshop Registration Site, click here".                

If you would like to kick the tires before the mandatory cutover, instructions are available in the document "Test Driving the Phoenix User Interface" available at http://www.ohio.edu/finance/procuretopay/procurement/bobcatbuy.cfm or as an attachment to this email. This document will guide you on how to switch from the current User Interface, "Classic" to the new User Interface "PHOENIX" and back again prior to the system wide mandatory release on Monday, Nov. 4. Remember, beginning, on Monday, Nov. 4, you will no longer be able to switch between the two interfaces. Attached you will also find a screen shot of the Phoenix User Interface.  You'll notice that the layout, positioning, and icons have been modified to reflect an enhanced and more intuitive web experience.

Finally, we will also be introducing the ability to complete "Change Orders" on existing and future Purchase Orders in BobcatBUY on Monday, Nov. 4. The new functionality in the "PO Revision Form" will integrate into Oracle and provide the ability to make changes to accounting strings, add or deduct funds, and update lines on the PO. The "Request to Close a PO" form will be added to the forms offering in BobcatBUY and will be separated from the current "PO Revision Form" to better differentiate the purpose of each form. Training documents will be added to the existing library on the BobcatBUY website during the week of Nov. 4.
