Nominate an Outstanding Administrator!

Three winners will be honored in the spring and receive a $1,000 award

Each year the Administrative Senate honors three administrators for their significant contributions to Ohio University with the Outstanding Administrator Award. The award winners are honored at the Outstanding Administrator Award Ceremony in the spring and receive $1,000.

Previous winners have come from all areas of the University and nominations are accepted from all members of the University community; faculty, administrative and classified staff and students.

Nominations for the award are now being accepted.

To be eligible for the award, nominees must first meet all the following minimum criteria:

  1. Five years of consecutive service as a full- or part-time administrator at Ohio University and currently serving as a full- or part-time administrator;
  2. Administrative responsibility at any level (professional responsibility);
  3. An administrative appointment of nine, 10, 11 or 12 months spending 50 percent or more of time in administrative duties.

The selection committee, comprised of administrators, faculty, classified staff and students then screens the nominations. They collect information from the nominees, conduct interviews and determine the three winners.

Nominations for the award will be accepted until Friday, Dec. 6, 2013. Nominations should be made using the form available on the Administrative Senate website at http://www.ohio.edu/adminsenate/awards/nominate-oaa.cfm
