From staff reports
The Leadership and Staff Development office and the Compensation department of University Human Resources have paired up to offer a series of seven performance management webinars for the Ohio University community at large.
As the latest addition to the eLearning Essentials suite, these webinars are available 24/7 at no cost to the employee. The series provides short webinars ranging from five to 20 minutes, and covers topics such as goal setting, giving and receiving feedback, coaching, communication, evaluation, and employee recognition and motivation.
With the University's performance evaluation cycle kicking into full gear this month, including the planning and goal setting phase for many employees, these webinars are intended to assist supervisors and employees in the performance management process.
The first topic, "Performance Management: Goal Setting" will be available the week of March 11.
"Performance Management: Evaluation" will be released soon thereafter. The remaining webinars can be expected over the next several weeks.
The webinars are designed to address the needs of many supervisors and employees by providing resources, Ohio University policy information, and soft skill training to improve performance management throughout the university.
As each webinar is completed, it will be posted to the University Human Resources website main page. The series will also be available through both the Leadership & Staff Development page and
the Compensation page. No registration is necessary.
