Year-end giving guidelines ensure 2012 tax deduction eligibility

Ohio University will be closed from Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2012, through Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, and will re-open on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013. Campus mail will not be delivered. Please note the details below to ensure that your gift is received and processed:

Online Gifts:
We will issue a 2012 tax receipt for online gifts submitted by Dec. 31, 2012, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST). Gifts made online after 11:59 p.m. EST will be issued a 2013 tax receipt. To make your gift online, visit www.ohio.edu/give.

Phoned-in credit card gifts:
You must call 740-593-2636 by Dec. 24, 2012, at 3 p.m. in order to ensure 2012 tax deduction eligibility. After 3 p.m., please use the secure, online giving form at www.ohio.edu/give.

Mailed-in credit card gifts:
Mailed-in credit card gifts must be received by The Ohio University Foundation by Dec. 21, 2012, in order to ensure 2012 tax deduction eligibility (regardless of the postmark date).

Mailed-in checks:
Mailed-in checks must be postmarked by Dec. 31, 2012, AND the check must be dated on or before Dec. 31, 2012.
