Proctorville Center will host screening of Ethel Kennedy documentary

The community is invited to a special screening of the documentary "Ethel: The Personal, Untold Story of Ethel Kennedy."

The screening will take place at the Ohio University Proctorville Center at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8 in the Commons Area.

The film was featured this year at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, and aired this fall on HBO. Through a partnership with HBO Documentaries and Moxie Firecracker Films, Rock the Vote has given the Proctorville Center an opportunity to share the inspiring new documentary.

The film, produced by Ethel and Robert Kennedy's youngest child, Rory Kennedy, highlights the long, politically active life of Ethel Kennedy, and the years following Robert's death, when she raised their 11 children.

Both Ethel and Robert Kennedy worked to guarantee that every citizen had the opportunity to vote.

Rock the Vote hopes that this film will encourage students to vote in elections and be involved in what is occurring in politics.
