From staff reports
Jenny Hall-Jones has been named the interim associate vice president for student affairs and dean of students effective June 11. She replaces Ryan Lombardi, who became interim vice president for student affairs on June 1.
Hall-Jones has worked at Ohio University for the past 16 years and is a three-time alumna of the institution, having most recently earned a Ph.D. in higher education in 2011.
"I'm honored and excited to step into this role and serve the students of Ohio University and my alma mater," Hall-Jones said.
Her work at OHIO began in Residence Life and continued in the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs until she was appointed assistant dean of students in 2009.
In her current role, Hall-Jones provides leadership and supervision to several division departments, including Career Services, Counseling & Psychological Services, Community Standards & Student Responsibility, The Post Business Office, and the Student Affairs' parent outreach efforts. Beyond these responsibilities, she has established strong working relationships with faculty, staff and community leaders.
Interim Vice President for Student Affairs Ryan Lombardi said OHIO students recognize Hall-Jones as an engaging and accessible administrator who is a frequent guest at many campus events and programs.
Hall-Jones will serve in the interim capacity with full responsibility pending the outcome of a search that will commence this fall when students return to campus.
