From staff reports
On Monday, Ohio University President Roderick J. McDavis sent an email to all faculty and staff the updating them on the progress of the search committee for a chief of staff and special assistant to the president.
Dear Faculty and Staff,
The purpose of my message is to communicate our plans to fill the vacancy of chief of staff and special assistant to the president following Becky Watts' departure at the end of this month. We will conduct an internal search, open only to current employees of Ohio University.
Eric Burchard, director of Government Relations, will chair the search committee. Other search committee members are Renea Morris, executive director of University Communications and Marketing, and Tom Davis, professor in the Patton College of Education and Board of Trustees Secretary.
The vacancy will be posted on the Ohio University Jobs Posting website in the next few days. The posting will include specific requirements for candidacy, the scope of responsibilities the position entails, and instructions on submitting applications.
We thank the search committee in advance for its work to identify top candidates for this important role.
Roderick J. McDavis
