It is a busy week with Earth Month in Athens. The Office of Sustainability is working with the surrounding community to deliver a number of interesting activities this week.
Lunch and Learn with Jeff Wilson - This event will be Tuesday from noon-1:30 p.m. in Baker 235. Listen to Wilson as he shares his family's efforts make their home more energy efficient and environmentally friendly.
Science Cafe: Virtual Geology and Planetary Secrets – This event will be Wednesday from 5-6 p.m. in the Front Room. Keith Milam, associate professor of Geological Sciences, discusses how Earth may not be as different from Mars as many people think it is.
Mackin' on Local Foods – This event will be Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. in the Mackinnon Hall basement. Residents and resident assistants will come together to enjoy food from local vendors including Shagbark Seed and Mill Co., Casa Nueva, Snowville Creamery, Crumbs Bakery, Village Bakery, and Integration Acres.
Family Science Saturday – This event will be Saturday from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. in Clippinger Laboratories. Alpha Chi Sigma is hosting a free day of enjoyment to the families and children in the community that encourage an appreciation of science.
