From staff reports
Classified Senate and University Human Resources will host an information session on Thursday, May 3, that will answer any questions anyone has about the next Classified Development Program, which begins in the fall.
The information session will take place from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in Baker University Center 240/242 and will include a lunch (noon-12:30 p.m.) and a panel of members of the first cohort. Supervisors are encouraged to attend.
The Classified Development Program was designed several years ago to help classified staff members be better prepared to meet the changing needs of technology, higher education, and position responsibilities by providing them with more knowledge and skills. The experience also better prepares participants for opportunities for upward mobility.
Classified Staff members will spend three hours each week during work hours (as outlined in OHIO policy) and four to eight hours per week outside of work reading, studying, and preparing for class.
To register for the information session, click here. The deadline to apply for membership to the fall 2012 class of the CDP is June 11.
