From staff reports
On Wednesday, Ohio University President Roderick J. McDavis sent an email to all faculty, staff and students about Board of Trustees Secretary Thomas Davis' departure.
Dear Faculty, Staff and Students,
Thomas Davis has announced his plans to retire from his service as secretary to the Board of Trustees and from his faculty position in the Gladys W. and David H. Patton College of Education on June 30. Please join me in thanking Tom for his excellent service to Ohio University. He is a valued colleague whose commitment to our students and the mission of Ohio University are exemplary.
To prepare for a smooth transition following Tom's retirement, the Board of Trustees has requested that we form a search committee to conduct an internal search to identify the next Board Secretary. Our goal is to identify Tom's successor by the June board meeting to allow for an optimal transition. The position will remain a half-time position and the position description and requirements will be finalized in the coming weeks.
Again, we thank Tom for his service and dedication.
Roderick J. McDavis
