From staff reports
In the fall, Executive Vice President and Provost Pam Benoit appointed a parental leave task force to examine the feasibility of developing a paid parental leave policy for faculty and staff. The task force presented Benoit with a report outlining its conclusions on Feb. 29.
Two open forums will be held next week to discuss the report, which is posted on the EVPP website. The first forum will be held on April 4 from noon-1 p.m. in E304 Grover Center. The second forum, which will be web cast and can be viewed here, will be held on April 6 from 4 -5 p.m. in 194 Clippinger.
The goal of the forums is to seek input from the University community on the recommendations made in the report. Members of the task force will be present to answer questions and collect feedback. Comments also may be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org until April 23.
Input on the task force report will be compiled and presented to Benoit and Vice President for Finance and Administration Stephen Golding who will make a recommendation to President Roderick J. McDavis concerning paid parental leave.
