From staff reports
The Office of Sustainability is offering an opportunity for the campus community to host sustainability programming during the month of April 2012. Students, faculty, and staff can apply for grants up to $500 to run a program that furthers the goals of the Sustainability Plan and educates the campus on this year's theme: Energy.
The Office of Sustainability is working to build sustainability leaders and provide diverse educational opportunities throughout campus with the implementation of this new program. The deadline for submissions is Monday, Feb. 6, 2012. Applications will be made available on Jan. 5 online at www.ohio.edu/sustainability.
Residence Challenge, an educational program and an energy reduction challenge among residence halls, will be concurrently hosted during Earth Month. During each week in April, the Office of Sustainability is highlighting a specific energy topic with a related competition in the residence halls. Students who actively participate in this program have the opportunity to win a number of exciting prizes.
For questions or to be emailed an Earth Month Grant application form, please contact Mary Leciejewski, special programs coordinator graduate assistant, at the Office of Sustainability at firstname.lastname@example.org.
