Athens full of fun summer activities

Summer Celebration Guide lists many summer relaxation options

Ohio University’s first summer session is already entering its second week, but luckily, students have more to look forward to then blistering walks to Bentley and grinding heat crossing the greens.

The 2011 Athens Summer Celebration Guide is now available and filled with activities to perfect pepper in between study sessions at Alden Library, or after a particularly long physics lecture.

Activities range from cheering on the demolition derby with a basket of fried Oreos at the country fair to building the foundation of a home for a community member in need; the summer guide has something for every whim and collegiate taste.

Most events featured in the guide are completely free for Ohio University students, including outdoor concerts, indoor movies and a selection of exhibits featured at both Kennedy Art Museum and the Dairy Barn Arts center.  For more information about these and other activities available around the Athens area this summer go to the Ohio University Summer Sessions website to download the digital guide.
