Ohio Board of Regents Chancellor James Petro will give the keynote address at the 28th Annual Ohio University State Government Alumni Luncheon at noon, Wednesday, May 4, at the Athletic Club in Columbus.
The event honors more than 150 Ohio University alumni involved in service to the state of Ohio, and will be hosted by Ohio University President Roderick McDavis on behalf of the University's Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs.

As Chancellor of the Ohio Board of Regents, Petro leads the University System of Ohio, one of the largest comprehensive systems of public higher education in the nation. The University System of Ohio bears the primary responsibility for raising the educational attainment of Ohioans.
The Outstanding State Government Alumni Award, an honor that recognizes Ohio University alumni for outstanding achievements in public service, will be presented at the luncheon to Scott Milburn, class of 1991. Criteria for the award include significant professional achievement, public service to Ohio University and service contributed to Ohio University’s public affairs program.
Milburn, currently the communications director for Ohio Gov. John Kasich, has served in senior communication positions for U.S. Sen. George Voinovich, Gov. Bob Taft and Congressman Dave Hobson. He also served in the White House as press secretary at the Office of Budget and Management.
Milburn was named Journalism Alumnus of the Year in 2008 and is a former member of the Ohio University Alumni Association Board of Directors.
